Watch the cowboys

It looks like Dr Brett has been getting dogged by the cowboys out there on the web.

It just shows that you need to be vigilant and ask the hard questions before paying for education, brokers etc.

I've seen many shonks out there. Ask for trading statements and/or strong reviews. That will help in separating the good, bad, and ugly.

I like his blog heading.

Dax trade futures

The Dax provided some good opportunities this evening with follow through on engulfing bars and inside bars.

Read the last few posts on examples of trade parameters that I look for.

They are not always going to be profitable. It is important to remember that this is an odds game, nothing more!

It has just come out in Australia and will be out in the US Oct 5.

The heading is Complex complexity Mistake 7: making trading too complicated.

It has chapters from Van K tharp, Brett Steenbarger, Russell Sands and some Aussie trading identities.

Of course, that's until you discover that trading can be brutally difficult. If you play the trading game, you are going to make mistakes -- maybe even some like these:

  • agonising endlessly over when to enter or exit a trade

  • losing $1 million in a single trade
  • clicking 'buy' instead of 'sell'
  • buying 10 000 units when you only meant to purchase 1000.

20 Most Common Trading Mistakes reveals market mishaps from some of the biggest names in trading. Everyone - from stellar traders to complete novices -- can use help learning how to trade in the black. Why not learn from the masters how to turn blunders into profit?
